Most relationship trouble is not a lack of love.

I’m Noam Weinberg. For thirty years I have sat with couples, with parents, and with people trying to decide about someone they are dating. What I keep finding is that the love has not run out. It is what we do when it feels threatened.

Where would you like to start?

The premise

What I am actually looking at.

When somebody tells me they have a communication problem, that is rarely what I am seeing. I am watching two people handle a threat — one moves closer, the other moves away, and both of them are trying to feel all right by getting the other one to change.

So my work is not deciding who is right. It is helping a person notice what is happening inside them while it is still happening, settle it without making everyone else responsible for it, and then choose how they want to show up.

Everything I teach is built toward one question: given what I am feeling right now, who do I want to be in this relationship?

The newsletter

The writing, sent to you.

I write about the method and what it looks like in an ordinary week — the argument that keeps coming back, a teenager who has gone quiet, the question of whether you like this person or just like being chosen. Leave your email and I will send you what I publish.

You’ll get one email to confirm.

For professionals

If this is already the work you do.

The certification is ten live modules in which I teach the method and how to run it, with mentorship while you use it on your own cases.

Writing
