A self-paced course for therapists, counselors and coaches:
The years when the patterns get set.
Couples in the early years are not simply getting along or failing to. They are building the habits they will still be running in fifteen years, usually without noticing they are choosing them.

Trainings 3, 4 and 5 of the Weinberg Compass

Taught by Rabbi Dr. Noam Weinberg
You already see these clients. You were never trained for them.
A couple who says they fight about money, when money has never once been the actual subject.
Both partners certain the problem is the other one, and both partly right.
The same argument every few weeks with the content swapped out.
Two people who talk constantly and understand each other less every year.

What changes.
The question your client walks in with, and the one you learn to work instead.
“Why isn't my partner doing this the way I expected?”
“How do we build a relationship that works for both of us?”
“We need to communicate better.”
“How do we talk so defensiveness stops being necessary?”
“How do we stop fighting?”
“How do we fight in a way that does less damage and reveals more truth?”
What is inside.
Trainings 3, 4 and 5 of the Weinberg Compass, recorded and self-paced. Yours to work through at whatever speed your caseload allows.
- 01
Why the formative years matter, and how quickly early patterns entrench.
- 02
The marriage they expected against the marriage they have, and how to work the gap without dismissing it.
- 03
The invisible contract. Roles and responsibilities nobody ever negotiated out loud.
- 04
Money as a relational issue rather than a budgeting one.
- 05
Extended family, and where the couple boundary has to sit.
- 06
Listening to understand. Validation without agreement, which is the skill most couples cannot do.
- 07
Curiosity instead of defensiveness, and how to speak without triggering it in the first place.
- 08
Turning a complaint into the vulnerability underneath it.
- 09
The anatomy of a fight, and the pursuer-withdrawer cycle driving most of them.
- 10
Emotional flooding: when to keep going and when the conversation has to stop.
- 11
Repair, effective apology, and accountability that leads to changed behavior.
- 12
Forgiveness, and what it is not.

Who is teaching this.
I am Rabbi Dr. Noam Weinberg. For three decades I have sat with people through the defining moments of their lives, as a rabbi, an educator, a school leader and a mentor.
Everyone called what I was seeing communication problems. They were not. Once I stopped treating the argument as the problem, cases that had been stuck for years started moving in weeks. This course is the part of that method that applies to the clients above.
